It started out simple, back during the gap between DC18 and DC19, when I got my Kindle first ebook reader. The thought came to me that it’d be neat to have the DEF CON schedule as an mobi or epub file and to view it on the Kindle. No more fumbling, pulling out, and reading the paper program schedule every hour to see what to do next, no more crinkled wrinkled and messed up programs by Sunday.
So after a bit of Googling, some coding in Perl, trying a few things while scraping a few web pages, and I had some usable files I could share on a website.
