  and nostalgic posts showing up on TikTok\, X\, and Instagram.\n   While 2
 016 conjures up great memories for some\, it wasn’t a banner\n   year fo
 r cybersecurity. In 2016\, several high-profile data breaches\n   took pla
 ce\, including two Yahoo breaches that affected 1.5 billion\n   user accou
 nts. 2016 also saw headlines about incidents at LinkedIn\,\n   Oracle\, an
 d Dropbox. Commentators even began calling 2016 the “Year\n   of the Dat
 a Breach.” If we don’t want 2026 to become the new 2016\,\n   we will 
 have to relearn the data privacy lessons from the “Year of\n   the Data 
 Breach.” This presentation will explore the lessons that we\n   should h
 ave learned from 2016 by first exploring current cybersecurity\n   trends.
  Next\, we will travel back to 2016 and examine the high-profile\n   incid
 ents that occurred that year. Then we will discuss how the\n   problems we
  faced in 2016 are still impacting us now. Before\, finally\n   outlining 
 ways to apply the lessons from 2016 to make us all a little\n   safer.\n\n
    SpeakerBio:  Anthony Hendricks\n\n   Anthony Hendricks is a legal probl
 em solver and litigator at Crowe &\n   Dunlevy\, one of Oklahoma’s large
 st and oldest firms. At Crowe &\n   Dunlevy\, Anthony serves as founder an
 d chair of the firm’s\n   Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Practice Group.
