DESCRIPTION: 'Title: Aerospace Cybersecurity Student Research Spotlight:
 ERAU\n Tags: Aerospace Village | Creator Talk/Panel\n When: Friday\, A
 ug 7\, 12:00 - 12:45 PDT\n Where: LVCCW Level 1 Hall 3 1103 (Creator Sta
 ge 5) - [1]Map\n\n Description:\n\n At the Aerospace Village\, we stri
ve to Build\, Promote\, and Inspire our\n next generation of Aerospace C
ybersecurity professionals. To meet this\n vision\, we are proud to spon
sor these student research presentations\n from Embry-Riddle Aeronautica
l University (ERAU).\n\n Jumpseat Intelligence: Bounded Agentic AI for A
ircraft Cyber Defense:\n Sean McConoughey\n\n Modern commercial aircra
ft generate continuous streams of system and\n security logs across a mu
ltitude of networked subsystems. These\n security logs are generally ana
lyzed post-flight at a SOC using\n rules-based matching that can generat
e significant false positives.\n How do you fix that\, and what does res
ponsible automation look like in\n a safety-critical environment where t
he cost of a wrong decision is\n measured differently than in a traditio
nal IT context? This talk\n addresses those questions and presents a wor
king student-developed\n research prototype that attendees can interact
with at the Aerospace\n Village.\n\n SpaceVE: A Satellite Constellatio
n Cyber Research Environment: Samuil\n Nikolov\n\n Satellite constella
tions are increasingly critical infrastructure\,\n supporting navigation
\, communications\, and timing for aviation and a\n wide range of other
domains. Studying the security of those systems at\n constellation scale
presents real challenges for academic researchers\n working outside of
operational environments. SpaceVE is ERAU's Center\n for Aerospace Resil
ient Systems' answer to that gap: a purpose-built\n satellite constellat
ion cyber research environment designed to support\n realistic threat in
jection\, detection research\, and challenge\n scenarios without requiri
ng access to operational spacecraft or\n proprietary ground systems. Stu
dent researchers built SpaceVE from the\n ground up this summer and will
present the architecture\, the first\n research missions\, and what the
initial findings mean for attacking\n and defending satellite constella
 tions.\n\n Speakers:Sean McConoughey\,Samuil Nikolov\n\n SpeakerBio:
