1]Map\n\n Description:\n\n The "Security by Obscurity" era in satellit
e communications is over\,\n but the industry hasn't received the memo.
As we shift toward COTS\n hardware and standardized protocols like CCSDS
and Space Packet\n Protocol (SPP)\, a massive attack surface has emerge
d\, stretching from\n ground stations to the satellite.\n\n In this ta
lk\, i will show the vulnerabilities of the modern space\n link. i will
move beyond simple RF command injction to demonstrate a\n full-spectrum
exploitation methodology. Using PWNSAT and PWNCUBE a\n high-fidelity\, o
pen-source satellite exploitation ecosystem we\n simulate an end-to-end
 mission under fire.\n\n I will demonstrate:\n\n Protocol Fuzzing\, GNS
spoofing and command exploiting CCSDS/SPP packet\n structures over LoRa
/FSK. Lateral Movement in Orbit: How a compromised\n RF link leads to co
mmand injection on the internal CAN bus to\n manipulate satellite subsys
tems. Ground Segment Pivoting: Exploiting\n the Mission Operations Cente
 r (MOC) via radio protocol\n vulnerabilities.\n\n This is not just a t
ool demo\; it is a deep dive into the flaws of\n aerospace's most truste
d protocols. We provide the community with a\n "Vulnerable-by-Design" or
bital platform to bridge the gap between\n cybersecurity and space engin
eering.\n\n SpeakerBio: Romel "r0r0x" Marin\n\n Romel MarÃn is a Seni
or Hacker and Aerospace Cybersecurity Researcher\n with over a decade of
experience in offensive operations. He has\n executed complex penetrati
on testing assessments for diverse\n industries and Fortune 500 companie

 erospace technologies\, satellite\n protocols\, and artificial intellige

DEF CON Costa Rica group\n (DC11506). A speaker at international confer
ences such as BlackHat\,\n DEF CON\, Typhooncon DragonJAR\, and Ekoparty
