  lists? This talk by Franklin co-founder Jake Braun will outline\n   the p
 rogram\, share success stories from volunteer engagements\, and\n   discus
 s lessons learned from the past year of deployments. The session\n   will 
 also cover Franklin’s expansion into new states\, highlight\n   findings
  from the DEF CON Hackers’ Almanack\, and examine why leading\n   securi
 ty tools struggle to meet the needs of resource-constrained\n   water syst
 ems. Finally\, the talk will lay out a path to scaling\n   cybersecurity f
 or water systems nationwide through a centrally managed\n   network of reg
 ional MSSPs\, and how the DEF CON community can help\n   build it from the
  ground up.\n\n   SpeakerBio:  Jake Braun\, DEF CON Franklin\n\n   Jake Br
 aun is the co-founder of DEF CON Franklin and the Executive\n   Director o
 f the Cyber Policy Initiative at the University of Chicago\n   Harris Scho
 ol of Public Policy. He most recently served in the White\n   House as act
 ing Principal Deputy National Cyber Director. While at the\n   White House
 \, he oversaw the implementation of the National\n   Cybersecurity Strateg
 y\, including efforts to secure our water systems\,\n   modernize the fede
 ral cyber workforce\, enhance cyber cooperation with\n   allied nations\, 
 and develop AI cybersecurity policy.\n\n   In addition to his role at the 
 University of Chicago\, Mr. Braun\n   co-founded the DEF CON Voting Machin
 e Hacking Village. In that\n   capacity\, he co-authored two award-winning
  reports on the cyber\n   security of our election infrastructure: the DEF
  CON 25 and 26 Voting\n   Village Reports. Most recently\, he partnered wi
 th DEF CON\, the world's\n   largest and longest running hacker conference
 \, to launch “DEF CON\n   Franklin\,” a program to memorialize the mos
 t innovative and\n   impactful findings from DEF CON in the annual “Hack
 ers’\n   Almanack.” “DEF CON Franklin” also recruits cyber volunte
