DESCRIPTION: 'Title: Leveraging Large Language Models for Policy\, Regula
 tory\, and\n Compliance in IoMT: Opportunities\, Risks\, and Safeguards\
 n Tags: AI Village | Creator Talk/Panel\n When: Sunday\, Aug 9\, 12:30
  - 12:59 PDT\n Where: LVCCW Level 1 Hall 3 1105 (Creator Stage 3) - [1]M
ap\n\n Description:\n\n The rapid adoption of Large Language Models (L
LMs) is transforming how\n organizations interpret and enforce policy\,
regulatory\, and compliance\n requirements. In the context of the Intern
et of Medical Things (IoMT)\,\n where sensitive health data flows across
  distributed and\n resource-constrained devices\, LLMs offer promising c
apabilities such\n as automated policy analysis\, compliance monitoring\
, and intelligent\n decision support. However\, their integration also i
 ntroduces\n significant security\, privacy\, and trust challenges\, incl
 uding data\n leakage\, model hallucinations\, regulatory misinterpretati
on\, and\n adversarial manipulation. This talk explores the dual role of
LLMs as\n both enablers and potential risk amplifiers in IoMT ecosystem
 s. It\n will examine how LLMs can assist in translating complex regulati
 ons\n (e.g.\, HIPAA-like frameworks)\, detecting compliance violations\,
and\n enabling adaptive policy enforcement across heterogeneous medical
\n devices. At the same time\, the session will highlight critical\n v
 ulnerabilities\, including privacy breaches\, lack of explainability\,\n
and risks associated with using external or cloud-hosted models in\n he
althcare environments. The workshop will conclude with practical\n desig
n guidelines and architectural considerations for securely\n integrating
  LLMs into IoMT systems\, emphasizing privacy-preserving\n techniques\,
federated approaches\, and human-in-the-loop validation to\n ensure trus
tworthy and compliant deployment.\n\n Speakers:Dr. Deepti Gupta\,Sai Sit
haraman\n\n SpeakerBio: Dr. Deepti Gupta\n\n Dr. Deepti Gupta is a te
