Historical ly\,\n counter-surveillance tools have been expensive\, complex\, and\n inaccessible to most individuals\, often limited to well-funded\n rese archers and costly hardware configurations. The ESP32 offers a\n transfo rmative alternative. This presentation will demonstrate how an\n afforda ble microcontroller has become the foundation for a growing\n suite of o pen-source\, user-friendly anti-surveillance tools. We will\n discuss th e technical features that make the ESP32 a compelling choice\n for these applications\, including passive 802.11 and Bluetooth\n monitoring\, OU I-based device fingerprinting\, and robust cryptographic\n capabilities. Applications include detecting police body cameras in\n operational env ironments\, mapping Flock Safety automatic license plate\n recognition ( ALPR) infrastructure\, identifying unauthorized drones\,\n detecting rad io frequency jamming across 2.4GHz\, 5GHz\, and cellular\n bands\, and t racking autonomous robots operating with known-vulnerable\n firmware. Th ese tools are cost-effective and freely available. We will\n also consid er future developments in accessible counter-surveillance\n hardware\, s uch as the ESP32-S5 with 5GHz support\, GPS\, displays\,\n haptics\, etc .
