 ing from OWASP A04:2025\, we examine real CVEs from\n   GitHub Security Ad
 visories as of January 2026 to show which crypto\n   failure patterns actu
 ally dominate in the wild\, then go deep on the\n   top two: signature ver
 ification bypasses (including invalid curve\n   attacks) and algorithm con
 fusion bugs (JWT). Real libraries\, live\n   exploits. Demos and CTF chall
 enges are woven throughout\, involves\n   audience interaction and partici

    Diptendu Kar is a security researcher focused on supply chain and\n   d
 ependency risk. He works on triaging open-source vulnerabilities\,\n   wri
 ting detection rules\, and exploring how AI can automate tedious\n   parts
  of security research. He also teaches Software Security\n   Practices at 
 Northeastern University part time and holds a Master’s\n   in Cybersecur
