st-Quantum\n Cryptography Implementations\n Tags: DEF CON Official Tal
 k | Demo 💻 | Tool 🛠\n When: Saturday\, Aug 8\, 10:30 - 11:30 PDT\n
    Where: LVCCW Level 1 Hall 3 1007 (Main Track 2) and DCTV-2 - [1]Map\n\n
Description:\n\n Post-quantum cryptography is being deployed to defea
 t a computer that\n doesn't exist yet - and the rush is opening a wide\,
purely classical\n attack surface today. This talk walks three implemen
tation attack\n vectors against NIST's lattice standards (ML-KEM / FIPS
 203\, ML-DSA /\n FIPS 204): (1) memory corruption at the deserialization
boundary\,\n culminating in remote code execution through a hybrid TLS
 1.3 key\n exchange\; (2) compiler-induced timing side channels\, where\n
"constant-time" source becomes variable-time binary and yields a\n ch
 osen-ciphertext key-recovery oracle\; and (3) fault injection against\n
ML-DSA's signing state machine on a low-cost ChipWhisperer. No quantum\n
computer is required for any of them. The talk closes with the limits\n
of hybrid cryptography as a defense and the live release of\n LatticeSc
 ope\, an open-source timing-leak detector and lattice-aware\n fuzzer for
auditing compiled PQC binaries.\n\n SpeakerBio: Aleksandr Krasnov\n\n
Aleksandr has been an industry expert in DevSecOps\, has worked in\n c
ompanies like Dropbox\, Palo Alto Networks\, and Meta/Facebook. He has\n
spent his time doing security research and holds several patents in\n t
he area of application security. In the free time\, Aleksandr spends\n t
ime exploring the great outdoors in British Columbia\, climbing new\n bo
 ulders\, or free diving in the ocean.\n\n '\n\n 1. #LVCCW_Level1_Hall3
