DESCRIPTION: 'Title: Ghost in the Hiring Machine: How to Spot Fake Person
as Before\n They're on Your Payroll\n Tags: Recon Village | Creator Ta
 lk/Panel\n When: Sunday\, Aug 9\, 10:00 - 10:45 PDT\n Where: LVCCW Lev
 el 1 Hall 3 801 (Creator Stage 2) - [1]Map\n\n Description:\n\n People
are getting hired and trusted every day. Some of them do not\n exist at
  all\, yet they still pass interviews\, collect paychecks\, and\n gain a
ccess to sensitive systems. Campaigns attributed to the DPRK\n have show
n that this threat is very real. So how do you catch a ghost\n with a re
sume? Attendees will learn practical OSINT techniques for\n spotting fak
e personas and receive a checklist for thorough background\n checks. The
y will see these methods applied through two cases based on\n a true sto
ry\, illustrating how these personas succeeded\, how one could\n have be
en prevented\, and where OSINT reaches its limits. These\n techniques no
t only help attendees detect fake personas but also\n provide practical
ways to protect their own privacy and control what\n personal informatio
 n is visible online.\n\n Speakers:Michael Reimsbach\,Rishi "rxerium" C\n
\n SpeakerBio: Michael Reimsbach\, Product Security Specialist at SAP\n
\n Michael is a Product Security Specialist at SAP\, working with the SA
P\n Cloud Infrastructure security team. His focus areas include\n vuln
erability management\, secrets management\, and building secure\n intern
al services.\n\n He obtained multiple industry certifications such as OS
CP\, GCPN\, and\n CISSP.\n\n A healthy dose of paranoia led him to exp
lore OSINT and the surprising\n power of publicly available information.
\n\n Beyond his day-to-day work\, Michael is an active member of the\n
cybersecurity community and helps organize BSides Luxembourg.\n\n Speak
erBio: Rishi "rxerium" C\, Security Researcher\n\n Rishi is a London-ba
sed security researcher with over five years of\n hands-on experience in
IT. He currently specializes in vulnerability\n research\, threat intel
ligence\, and enterprise risk analysis. His\n current focus lies in iden
tifying and analyzing zero-day\n vulnerabilities and emerging CVEs\, oft
en working to reverse engineer\n exploit mechanics and build detection l
ogic before public\n weaponization. Rishi’s work spans both offensive
 and defensive\n domains—developing threat models based on real-world T
TPs\, crafting\n custom detection rules\, and automating reconnaissance
pipelines to\n uncover exploitable misconfigurations and exposed assets.
He is\n particularly active in attack surface management (ASM) and OSIN
T\,\n where he leverages DNS enumeration\, passive data correlation\, an
d\n large-scale infrastructure scanning to surface unknown entry points\
 n and map adversary-accessible exposure. Outside of research\, Rishi\n
integrates findings into operational tooling and supports data-driven\n
prioritization strategies to bridge technical risk and business\n impac
 t. His work reflects a deep commitment to adversary-informed\n defense a
nd proactive discovery across modern hybrid environments.\n\n '\n\n 1.
