DESCRIPTION: 'Title: Federated AI Agent Community Forum & DNS-AID Discove
ry Lab @\n AI VIllage\n Tags: AI Village | Creator Talk/Panel\n When
 : Saturday\, Aug 8\, 11:00 - 11:59 PDT\n Where: LVCCW Level 1 Hall 2 603
(AI Village) - [1]Map\n\n Description:\n\n Meet and engage with fello
w technologists for a drop-in event at AI\n Village to dive into practic
al realities of the agentic web. All\n comers to DEF CON 34 are welcome
to join for a Federated AI Agent\n Community Forum & Discovery Lab on AI
and DNS centered around the\n Linux Foundation's DNS-AID\n project.
 https://www.linuxfoundation.org/press/linux-foundation-announces-dns-aid-p
 roject-to-advance-decentralized-ai-agent-discovery\n\n No expertise in A
I agents is needed\, but basic DNS and AI familiarity\n is helpful. DNS-
AID project members will facilitate Community Forum\n discussions around
  themes in AI\, DNS\, identity\, discovery\, and\n communication\, with
the Discovery Lab & demo repeating at intervals\n during the session. Th
 is event intentionally brings together\n networking\, AI\, open-source c
ommunity\, and governance professionals to\n look at the real technical
underpinnings of the future of the\n internet. Please bring your own pow
ered-up laptop with wifi\n connectivity to try out the lab\, or prepare
to watch the starter demo\n and try it at home.\n\n The Discovery Lab
Building on the case for an open\, interoperable\n agent web\, this live
lab turns Linux Foundation's DNS-AID project into\n something you can r
un end to end. In this 15-minute lab\, you watch a\n Strands AI assistan
 t discover\, verify\, and invoke a remote MCP\n capability—the federat
ion's ip-reputation service—using DNS-AID\,\n the IETF draft for AI ag
ent discovery via DNS SVCB records. The agent\n finds the capability thr
ough DNS-AID\, verifies its authenticity with\n DNSSEC and a JWS-signed
capability document\, and invokes it through\n agentgateway\, the runtim
e enforcement layer.\n\n The lab demonstrates how the existing building
blocks of the open web\n deliver deterministic\, secure agent discovery
without proprietary\n lock-in. The lab presents DNS-AID and ARD as paral
lel discovery planes\n over one shared trust chain\, and pairs with a co
 mpanion DNS-AID\n Workshop\, a 90-minute AI-supply-chain incident-respon
se exercise. The\n session runs in three parts: Tour the lab—inspect a
federation\n runtime that has zero routes until DNS publishes one\, the
n watch how\n it discovers\, with DNS-AID and ARD running as parallel di
 scovery\n planes.\n\n Publish—publish a single DNS-AID SVCB record a
longside the ARD\n ai-catalog and watch agentgateway dynamically pick up
the new route\n via xDS.\n\n Invoke—follow the same agent down two
discovery paths and one trust\n chain: discover via DNS\, fetch the capa
bility doc from S3\, verify\n DNSSEC\,and invoke through the gateway.\n\
