 loitation has been seen as the\n   ultimate challenge and prize\, when exp
 loiting large applications and\n   operating systems. During this period\,
  the question of "How much\n   longer will we be able to do this?" has bee
 n asked countless times\,\n   and with good reason. Memory safety and corr
 uption issues with\n   low-level languages have been an enormous challenge
  for OS and\n   application developers. There are certainly efforts to mov
 e to "safer"\n   languages such as Rust\, but those languages need to matu
 re a bit\n   longer before they're able to stand up to the capabilities of
  a\n   language like C++.\n\n   Thanks to exploit mitigations and memory p
 rotections\, a large number\n   of these vulnerabilities are not exploitab
 le. There are the mature\n   mitigations\, such as Data Execution Preventi
 on (DEP) and Address Space\n   Layout Randomization (ASLR)\, and then newe
 r ones such as Control-flow\n   Enforcement Technology (CET) and Virtualiz
 ation Based Security (VBS).\n   A large number of these mitigations are no
 t enabled by default on the\n   Windows OS\, due to the fact that many nee
 d to be tested to ensure they\n   do not break production applications. In
  this presentation\, we will\n   take a technical dive into the state of b
 inary exploitation and the\n   effectiveness of the many available mitigat
 ions\, by looking at the way\n   they're enforced.\n\n   SpeakerBio:  Step

 perienced vulnerability researcher and exploit\n   developer\, having disc
