 ccess\n Control\n When: Friday\, Aug 9\, 15:30 - 15:59 PDT\n Where:
 LVCC West/Floor 2/W228-W230/W228-W230-ASV Main Stage - [1]Map\n\n Descri
ption:\n\n Who can tag me in a post? If I move this file to another fold
er\, who\n now has access? If my owner breaks up with his friend\, will
 I still\n get a bone?\n\n Whether you're a human\, or a dog\, let's fa
ce it\, authorisation is\n hard. Role-based access control is a great st
arting point but hard to\n scale. Attribute-based access control scales
better\, but neither are\n much good at answering more complex condition
s\, like whether\n friends-of-friends can read your posts. For such situ
ations\, we\n generally have to wrap this up into business logic.\n\n
This is where relationship-based access control (ReBAC) comes in\,\n off
ering a nuanced approach to accessing resources without codifying\n that
into the applications.\n\n In this session\, we'll look at how to defin
e these relationships\,\n experience live demos\, and discover how we ca
n deploy our own\n fine-grained authorisation service. Expect some tail-
wagging insights\n and a few laughs as we explore access control from a
 canine's point of\n view.\n\n SpeakerBio: Ben Dechrai\n\n Ben Dechr

developers avoid breaking the internet through better\n security and cod
ing practices. He enjoys helping others find the joy\n of problem-solvin
