  Rachel Cummings is an Associate Professor of Industrial\n   Engineering a
 nd Operations Research and (by courtesy) Computer Science\n   at Columbia 
 University\, where she is also a member of the Data Science\n   Institute 
 and co-chairs the Cybersecurity Research Center. She is also\n   a Fellow 
 at the Center for Democracy & Technology. Before joining\n   Columbia\, sh
 e was an Assistant Professor of Industrial and Systems\n   Engineering and
  (by courtesy) Computer Science at the Georgia\n   Institute of Technology
 \, and she previously received her Ph.D. in\n   Computing and Mathematical
  Sciences at the California Institute of\n   Technology. Her research inte
 rests lie primarily in data privacy\, with\n   connections to machine lear
 ning\, algorithmic economics\, optimization\,\n   statistics\, and public 
 policy. Dr. Cummings is the recipient of\n   numerous awards including an 
 NSF CAREER award\, a DARPA Young Faculty\n   Award\, a DARPA Director's Fe
 llowship\, an Early Career Impact Award\,\n   multiple industry research a
 wards\, a Provost’s Teaching Award\, two\n   doctoral dissertation award
 s\, and Best Paper Awards at DISC 2014\, CCS\n   2021\, and SaTML 2023. Dr
 . Cummings also serves on the ACM U.S.\n   Technology Policy Committee\, t
