DESCRIPTION: 'Title: Mapping the Landscape: Top 10 Cybersecurity Trends i
 n Critical\n Infrastructure for 2024\n When: Friday\, Aug 9\, 14:30 -
 14:59 PDT\n Where: LVCC West/Floor 1/Hall 3/Creator Stage 2 - [1]Map\n\n
Description:\n\n In recent years\, we have witnessed a surge in attac
ks aimed at\n critical infrastructure\, varying widely in scope and impa
ct depending\n on the region. While the definition of critical infrastru
cture differs\n by country\, it typically encompasses essential sectors
such as oil\,\n natural gas\, water\, power\, and manufacturing. The ram
ifications of\n these attacks are complex and often unpredictable.\n\n
To gain a clearer understanding of the state of critical\n infrastructu
re globally\, starting in 2023\, we will annually survey 300\n CISOs or
security directors across different countries in this sector.\n We will
share the data-driven insights to offer a detailed examination\n of the
current conditions and challenges faced by these crucial\n systems. By c
 omparing trends across different years\, countries\, and\n industries\,
our goal is to enhance the security and resilience of\n critical infrast
ructures worldwide.\n\n SpeakerBio: Mars Cheng\, Threat Research Manage
r\, PSIRT and Threat\n Research at TXOne Networks Inc\n\n Mars Cheng (
@marscheng_) leads TXOne Networks' PSIRT and Threat\n Research Team as T
hreat Research Manager\, coordinating product\n security initiatives and
threat research efforts. He is also the\n Executive Director for the As
sociation of Hackers in Taiwan\n (HIT/HITCON) and General Coordinator of
HITCON CISO Summit 2024\,\n facilitating collaboration between enterpri
ses and the government to\n bolster the cybersecurity landscape. Mars is
a frequent speaker and\n trainer at numerous prestigious international
cybersecurity\n conferences and has presented over 50 times\, including
 Black Hat\n USA/Europe/MEA\, RSA Conference\, DEF CON\, CODE BLUE\, FIRS

  Cyber Security\n Conference Asia and USA\, CYBERSEC\, CLOUDSEC\, VXCON\
, and many others.\n His expertise spans ICS/SCADA systems\, malware ana
lysis\, threat\n intelligence and hunting\, and enterprise security. Mar

including\n authoring more than ten CVE-IDs and publishing in three SCI
journals\n on applied cryptography. Mars has successfully organized seve
ral past\n HITCON events\, including HITCON CISO Summit 2023\, HITCON PE
