 to airports\, server rooms\,\n   and other high security facilities\, but 
 the security is often more\n   marketing than reality. This talk will reve
 al a new media\n   authentication bypass vulnerability in HID iCLASS and S
 igno physical\n   access control system RFID readers that has existed for 
 over a decade\n   and the journey of initial discovery\, disbelief\, vendo
 r disclosure\,\n   and patch. While legacy iCLASS has been known to be com
 promised for\n   years thanks to the research presented in Milosch Meriacâ
 €™s “Heart\n   of Darkness” and Flavio D. Garcia’s “Dismantling iC
 LASS and\n   iCLASS Elite” for standard and elite keys respectively. iCL
 ASS SE\n   systems have had a presumed level of security over legacy iCLAS
 S at\n   least as far as direct attacks that don’t involve additional\n 
   techniques such as downgrading.\n\n   SpeakerBio:  Tiernan "nvx" Messmer
 \n\n   Tiernan grew up watching DEF CON talks online and has always enjoye
 d\n   breaking and bypassing security for fun. By day he works as a softwa
 re\n   engineer for a not-for-profit\, by night he enjoys tinkering\,\n   
 contributing to open-source software\, and reverse engineering things\n   
 that companies would sometimes rather he didn’t. He prefers to hack\n   
 on software but doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty with hardware\n   w
 hen needed. Tiernan believes the best way to determine if he really\n   un
 derstands something is if he can successfully explain it to either\n   som
 eone else or create a working implementation in code. This has led\n   him
  to develop iCLASS/PicoPass card emulation on the Chameleon\n   Tiny/Mini 
 and the Flipper Zero. In recent years he has become a\n   “Hero” of th
