 \n   for our personal\, economic\, and national security needs. However\, 
 the\n   nation-state cyber threat to government and commercial systems\n  
  continues to grow at a time when the current landscape of\n   cybersecuri
 ty policies and frameworks aren’t readily applicable for\n   space syste
 ms.\n\n   In this fireside chat\, ONCD will have the opportunity to introd
 uce our\n   2nd National Cyber Director to the research community and disc
 uss some\n   of his priorities\, such as space cybersecurity. We will disc
 uss how\n   the White House has been working to tackle hard problems and\n
    challenges. In the instance of space cybersecurity\, ONCD has been\n   
 collaborating with federal space operators and the space industry to\n   d
 evelop policy solutions\, including by answering a tasking from the\n   Vi
 ce President to develop minimum cybersecurity requirements for U.S.\n   sp

  Harry Coker Jr.\, National Cyber Director at White House\n   Office of th
 e National Cyber Director (ONCD)\n\n   Harry Coker\, Jr. was confirmed by 
 the Senate on December 12\, 2023 as\n   the second National Cyber Director
  in the White House Office of the\n   National Cyber Director. Director Co
 ker is a retired Central\n   Intelligence Agency (CIA) senior executive an
 d career Naval Officer\,\n   is a graduate of the US Naval Academy\, the N
 aval Postgraduate School\,\n   and Georgetown University Law Center.\n\n  
  Previously\, Coker served as Executive Director of the National\n   Secur
 ity Agency (NSACoker’s service to the Nation and NSA was\n   recognized 
 with the awarding of the National Intelligence\n   Distinguished Service M
 edal\, the NSA Director’s Distinguished\n   Service Medal\, and the IC E
 EOD Outstanding Leadership Award.\n\n   During the first seventeen years o
 f his service with the CIA\, Coker\n   was assigned to leadership position
 s in the Directorate of Digital\n   Innovation\; the Directorate of Scienc
 e & Technology\; and the\n   Director’s Area. Key assignments included s
 ervice as Director of the\n   Open Source Enterprise\, which is responsibl
 e for leveraging publicly\n   available information\; and as Deputy Direct
 or of CIA’s Office of\n   Public Affairs. Coker’s leadership and contr
 ibutions earned him the\n   Presidential Rank Award and CIA’s prestigiou
