 O) at DARPA\n\n   Dr. Matt Turek assumed the role of deputy office directo
 r for DARPA's\n   Information Innovation Office (I2O) in May 2022. In this
  position\, he\n   provides technical leadership and works with program ma
 nagers to\n   envision\, create\, and transition capabilities that ensure 
 enduring\n   information advantage for the United States and its allies.\n
 \n   Turek joined DARPA in July 2018 as an I2O program manager\, and serve
 d\n   as acting deputy director of I2O from June 2021 to October 2021. He\
 n   previously managed the Media Forensics (MediFor)\, Semantic Forensics\
 n   (SemaFor)\, Machine Common Sense (MCS)\, and Explainable AI (XAI)\n   
 programs as well as the Reverse Engineering of Deception (RED) AI\n   Expl
 oration program (AIE). His research interests include computer\n   vision\
 , machine learning\, artificial intelligence\, and their\n   application t
 o problems with significant societal impact.\n\n   Prior to his position a
 t DARPA\, Turek was at Kitware\, Inc.\, where he\n   led a team developing
  computer vision technologies. His research\n   focused on multiple areas\
 , including large scale behavior recognition\n   and modeling\; object det
 ection and tracking\; activity recognition\;\n   normalcy modeling and ano
 maly detection\; and image indexing and\n   retrieval. Turek has made sign
 ificant contributions to multiple DARPA\n   and Air Force Research Lab (AF
 RL) efforts and has transitioned large\n   scale systems for operational u
 se. Before joining Kitware\, Turek\n   worked for GE Global Research\, con
 ducting research in medical imaging\n   and industrial inspection.\n\n   T
 urek holds a doctorate of philosophy in computer science from\n   Renssela
 er Polytechnic Institute\, a Master of Science in electrical\n   engineeri
 ng from Marquette University\, and a Bachelor of Science in\n   electrical
  engineering from Clarkson University. His doctoral work\n   focused on co
 mbinatorial optimization techniques for computer vision\n   problems. Ture
 k is a co-inventor on several patents and co-author of\n   multiple public
 ations\, primarily in computer vision.\n\n   SpeakerBio:  Heather Adkins\,
  Vice President of Security Engineering at\n   Google\n\n   Heather Adkins
  is a 22-year Google veteran and founding member of the\n   Google Securit
 y Team. As head of Google’s Office of Cybersecurity\n   Resilience she l
 eads the efforts to maintain the safety and security\n   of Google’s net
 works\, systems and applications\, and represents\n   Google in government
  and industry forums globally. As deputy chair of\n   CISA’s Cyber Safet
 y Review Board\, she works to isolate the root\n   causes of major securit
 y incidents impacting national security and\n   make recommendations to po
 licy-makers\, standards bodies\, and industry\n   on improving the safety 
 posture of modern computing. She is co-author\n   of Building Secure and R
 eliable Systems (O’Reilly\, 2020)\, is sought\n   out to speak at high-p
 rofile conferences\, and serves on the BlackHat\n   review board. Heather 
 advises numerous organizations on how to adopt\n   modern defendable archi
 tectures\, is a strategic advisor for a number\n   of publicly-traded cybe
 rsecurity companies\, and is a member of the\n   steering committee for th
 e IST Ransomware Taskforce. She is passionate\n   about election security 
 and was a senior advisor on the Defending\n   Digital Democracy project at
  the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer\n   Center.\n\n   Heather Adkins\, 
 a seasoned cybersecurity expert with over two decades\n   at Google\, is a
  founding member of the Google Security Team. Currently\n   heading Google
 's Office of Cybersecurity Resilience\, she safeguards\n   Google's vast d
 igital infrastructure and represents the company in\n   global technology 
 and policy forums. Her influence extends to national\n   security\, as dep
 uty chair of CISA's Cyber Safety Review Board\, where\n   she analyzes maj
 or security incidents and makes recommendations for\n   policy-makers\, st
 andards bodies and industry. A recognized thought\n   leader\, Heather co-
 authored Building Secure and Reliable Systems\n   (O’Reilly\, 2020)\, is
  a sought-after speaker at major conferences\,\n   and serves on the Black
 Hat review board. She advises numerous\n   organizations on modern securit
