 tion. For example\, some drone\n   manufacturers\, like DJI\, have develop
 ed their own custom Android-based\n   operating systems (OS) for their dro
 nes. Open-source Android-based\n   flight control software like QGroundCon
 trol and Mission Planner are\n   also available\, allowing developers to b
 uild custom drone control\n   applications. With the growing reliance on A
 ndroid within the drone\n   market\, the necessity to understand the lands
 cape of Android-based\n   vulnerabilities and exposure has become more imp
 ortant than ever\n   before\, especially to ensure secure\, safe\, and rel
 iable drone\n   operations.\n\n   SpeakerBio:  Jonathan Waterman\n\n   Jon
 athan Waterman has spent the last 15 years focused on cyber\n   security\,
  spanning both defensive and offensive security. His career\n   started as
  an ISSM verifying network policies and secure procedures.\n   After obtai
 ning his B.S. in Computer Science from Clarkson University\n   in 2012\, h
 is focus became the integrity of applications and\n   sanitization of data
 . He went from testing and finding ways to bypass\n   secure systems\, to 
 writing and enhancing network monitoring systems.\n   Over the course of h
 is career\, he worked with the Department of\n   Defense and other defense
  contracting companies enhancing security\n   postures. For the last 2 yea
 rs\, he has focused specifically on IoT and\n   Android based devices. Man
 y of the programs he worked on were a\n   combination of black and white b
 ox testing\, requiring expertise in\n   reverse engineering\, vulnerabilit
 y research\, binary exploitation\, and\n   penetration testing. Currently 
 he serves as a principal security\n   research engineer at Dark Wolf Solut
