 ke Braun was appointed by President Joseph Biden as Senior Advisor\n   to 
 the Department of Homeland Security in February of 2021 where he\n   focus
 es on Management issues.  He is also a lecturer at the\n   University of 
 Chicago Harris School of Public Policy.  He works at\n   the center of po
 litics\, technology and national security to advance\n   the field of cybe
 r policy. He is the author of Democracy in Danger:\n   How Hackers and Act
 ivists Exposed Fatal Flaws in the Election System\n   and has co-authored 
 two award-winning and seminal works on election\n   infrastructure cyber v
 ulnerabilities. Mr. Braun has worked extensively\n   on national security 
 and finance issues throughout the U.S.\, Europe\,\n   Asia\, Africa\, Midd
 le East and Latin America. Prior to joining the\n   University of Chicago 
 Harris School of Public Policy faculty and\n   Cambridge Global Advisers\,
  Mr. Braun was appointed by President Obama\n   as White House Liaison to 
 the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)\n   where he oversaw some of the
  most high profile public engagements\n   executed at DHS. He was instrume
 ntal in the effort to gain passage in\n   the European Parliament of the l
 argest big data sharing agreement in\n   history between the United States
  and the European Union. In addition\,\n   he designed and implemented a p
 rogram to modernize the DHS\n   cybersecurity workforce. Mr. Braun also ov
 ersaw stakeholder crisis\n   communications for the White House during the
  2010 Deep Water Horizon\n   Gulf Oil Spill.Prior to his tenure as White H
 ouse Liaison\, Mr. Braun\n   served on the Presidential Transition Team fo
 r the Obama\n   Administration as Deputy Director for the National Securit
 y Agencies\n   Review. In this capacity he oversaw agency review programs 
 for all\n   national security agencies including the State Department\, DO
 D\, DHS\,\n   CIA\, USAID\, etc. and guided policy assessments from their 
 inception to\n   the President-Elect’s desk. Mr. Braun also designs and 
 implements\n   political campaigns in the U.S.\, Asia\, Africa\, Latin Ame
 rica and\n   Europe. Before coming to Washington\, Mr. Braun served as the
  National\n   Deputy Field Director to the 2008 Obama for America Campaign
 \,\n   overseeing an effort that utilized the most sophisticated grassroot
 s\,\n   social media and data analysis available.In addition to his role a
 t\n   Harris\, Mr. Braun is co-founder of the DEF CON Voting Machine Hacki
 ng\n   Village\, in the President’s Circle on the Chicago Council on Glo
 bal\n   Affairs\, and a strategic advisor to the Department of Homeland\n 
   Security and the Pentagon on cybersecurity. DEF CON is the largest\n   h
 acker conference in the world and in cooperation with them he has\n   co-a
 uthored two fundamental and critically acclaimed reports on\n   election i
