DESCRIPTION: 'Title: Does the World Need Another Threat Model\, the Road
 to EMB3D\n When: Friday\, Aug 9\, 10:00 - 10:30 PDT\n Where: LVCC West
 /Floor 1/Hall 3/Creator Stage 2 - [1]Map\n\n Description:\n\n With all
the various threat model frameworks available\, STRIDE\, Trike\,\n PAST
A\, VAST\, etc.\, does the world need another one?\n\n That was the ques
tion that shaped the creation of EMB3D\, a threat\n model framework buil
t around embedded systems (specifically in\n critical infrastructure) th
at addresses all phases of a threat to\n them: from the theorical/academ
ic\, proof of concept and exploit\, to\n observed adversarial behavior.\
n\n But the goal was greater than just the threat framework\, it was to\
n bring a common language to the global community to discuss weaknesses\
n and threats while striving to bring transparency to what are\n consi
dered “black box” electronic systems.\n\n In this presentation\, we
take you on the journey of how we went from\n venting about needing more
transparency and accountability in the\n OT/ICS space to developing a n
ew global threat model for embedded\n systems.\n\n Speakers:Niyo Littl
