DESCRIPTION: 'Title: Malware Contests: MARC I & BOMBE\n When: Friday\,
 Aug 9\, 10:00 - 17:59 PDT\n Where: LVCC West/Floor 1/Hall 4/HW4-03-03 -
[1]Map\n\n Description:\n MARC I: Malware Analysis Report Competition
I\n\n In MARC I (Malware Analysis Report Competition I)\, participants\n
collect and analyze real malware\, then write an analysis report like a
 \n story\, covering the entire scope of who\, what\, when\, where\, why\
, and\n how they found and analyzed the malware.\n\n MARC I was create
d by Lena Yu (aka LambdaMamba) to provide malware\n enthusiasts with an
opportunity to learn and showcase their passion\n and skills. Mastering
malware analysis means mastering language.\n Essentially\, we take a hig
hly technical concept and simplify it into\n something that many can und
erstand\, similar to how a compiler\n translates high-level language int
 o low-level language that a wide\n range of systems can understand.\n\n
When participants open-source and publish their work\, it greatly\n co
ntributes to improving the field of cyber defense. Let's make\n malware
analysis knowledge go viral!\n\n BOMBE: Battle of Malware Bypass and EDR
\n\n Try to capture malware by writing your own EDR\, or become the malw
are\n to bypass detection! BOMBE (Battle of Malware Bypass and EDR) is a
\n unique match where malware and EDR systems compete against each other
\n inside a single VM boxing ring.\n\n Our participants can choose if
they want to be malware creator or EDR\n developer. Malware creators aim
to exfiltrate credentials and transmit\n them to our designated server.
On the other side\, EDR developers will\n focus on detecting the malwar
e's activities and report its findings.\n Both the malware and EDR\, cre
ated by our participants\, will battle\n each other directly inside a si
ngle VM. As they face off\, they’ll\n earn points for wins\, moving up
on the leaderboard. We also encourage\n them to keep improving their ma
lware or EDR systems\, system logs will\n be released after a few rounds
.\n\n BOMBE was created by Wei-Chieh Chao (aka oalieno) and Tien-Chih Li
n\n (aka Dange). It is not just a competition\, it's a learning platform
 .\n Participants engage with real-world scenarios\, learning the\n cir
cumstances between malware and EDR\, a never-ending bypass and\n detect
game. Showcase your skills! Whether you're a wizard at weaving\n undetec
table malware or a mastermind in sophisticated defenses\, this\n is your
stage. Demonstrate your capabilities to a global audience\,\n including
  potential employers and industry leaders.\n\n '\n\n 1. #LVCCW_Level1_
