 ]Map\n\n   Description:\n\n   The inception of this distinctive event occu
 rred at DEF CON 31\,\n   initiated by a fortuitous encounter with CookieT 
 while participating\n   in LineCon for merch. Our shared passions fostered
  an immediate bond\,\n   and it was amidst this camaraderie that the idea 
 for a future\n   challenge germinated. Having previously engaged participa
 nts with\n   puzzle-embedded challenge coins\, I (Chasse) was inspired to 
 expand the\n   concept beyond a mere cipher. The aim was to design a conte
 st that\n   would appeal across a broad spectrum of skill levels by integr
 ating a\n   variety of puzzles\, both modern and traditional\, to attract 
 a wider\n   audience from a complete beginner new to the hackerspace to th
 e more\n   seasoned and advanced hacker. Observing the collective enthusia
 sm as\n   participants unraveled the first simple coin puzzle was exhilara
 ting\,\n   yet the quick resolution of the puzzle occasionally detracted f
 rom the\n   overall experience for more advanced puzzle solvers. Throughou
 t DEF\n   CON 31\, CookieT and I explored the feasibility of a web-based\n
    challenge CTF\, laying the foundation for what would evolve into a\n   
 pioneering contest and experience. Later Raven emerged from the\n   shadow
 s of cyberspace to help us chisel out the contest from Zeroes\n   and Ones
 \n\n   With the announcement of DEF CON 32's theme\, our concept was honed
 \,\n   ready to blend our creative talents into this year's challenge. We\
 n   crafted an innovative combination of a narrative-driven journey game\,
 \n   scavenger hunt\, and web-based Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges\, al
 l\n   meticulously aligned with the DEC CON 32 "Engage" theme. This contes
 t\n   emerges as a holistic platform\, introducing DEF CON newcomers to co
 re\n   security principles through an engaging narrative. Spanning a varie
 ty\n   of fields including OSINT\, cryptography\, radio\, telephony\, pass
 word\,\n   and web security. It promises a rich\, diverse experience!\n   
 Participants\, automatically divided into teams\, are propelled on a\n   q
 uest to decode puzzles and unearth flags\, with challenges designed to\n  
  suit everyone from novices to veterans seeking sophisticated\,\n   intric
 ate challenges. This contest transcends the conventional\n   competition f
 ramework\, evolving into an artful endeavor that\n   illustrates the symbi
 osis of storytelling and technical puzzles to\n   create a deeply immersiv
 e learning adventure. Imagined as an\n   interactive storybook\, it invite
 s attendees to navigate their own\n   routes\, making their own choices th
 at lead them through a story-rich\n   exploration of security concepts and
  engagement even with each other.\n\n   The technical infrastructure of th
 is experience is built on varied\n   technologies. The main website\, http
 s://www.chassepartie.com\, is\n   developed with Ruby on Rails 7.1 and hos
 ted on Heroku\, with CloudFlare\n   acting as our Web Application Firewall
  (WAF). This site functions as\n   the scoreboard and narrative hub of the
  contest. Additionally\, we have\n   set up an XCP-NG hypervisor to host a
 pproximately 10 to 15 virtual\n   machines as targets for participant enga
 gement. Augmented reality\n   markers are also in place\, intended for dep
 loyment in communal areas\n   like sticker boards\, to enhance the experie
 nce. These elements are\n   interwoven with the storyline\, guiding attend
 ees through what we\n   believe is an unprecedented adventure-style CTF ch
 allenge named Chasse\n   Partie Systems – Dystopian Apocalypse Resistanc
