People that are not\n humans inclu de goons\, official speaker\,\n village/community/contest/creator staff\ , press\, black badge holders\,\n or similar. The remainder of this message\n applies only to humans.\n\n\n Lin es? Linecon?\n\n Linecon is your optional opportunity to stand (or sit) in line for\n human registration to open. Doors will open for linecon on Wednesday\n at approximately 17:00. When human registration opens on Th ursday at\n approximately 08:00\, they start working the linecon queue\, and the\n line will start moving quickly. (Please understand that we wi ll begin\n processing the line on Thursday morning as soon as the cashie rs and\n materials are in place\; we will strive for Thursday 08:00\, bu t actual\n start may be slightly earlier or later.)\n\n Online badge p urchase (aka pre-registration) has no impact on linecon.\n You can join the line on Wednesday (if you wish) regardless of whether\n you purchase d a badge online or intend to pay with cash. Please read the details on the linked page.\n\n * $460 cash purchase on-site. \n\n * As part of a BlackHat registration.\n\n\n Online Purchase\n\n You will be emailed a QR code to the email address provided when you\n bought your badge. Please guard that QR code as though it is cash --\n it can only be redeemed once\, and anyone can redeem it if they have it\n (including a photo of it). Badges are picked-up on-site -- they will\n not be mailed or shipped.\n\n We can scan the QR code either from your phone's display or from a\n printed copy. You must have the QR code wit h you in order to obtain\n your badge. As you approach the front of the line\, if you are going to\n show your QR code on an electronic device\, please ensure that your\n display is set to maximum brightness.\n\n I f you pre-registered\, but ultimately are unable to attend DEF CON and\n want to cancel your purchase\, the only way to get a refund is from the\n original online source.
