 Jen Easterly is the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure\n   S
 ecurity Agency (CISA). She was nominated by President Biden in April\n   2
 021 and unanimously confirmed by the Senate on July 12\, 2021. As\n   Dire
 ctor\, Jen leads CISA’s efforts to understand\, manage\, and reduce\n   
 risk to the cyber and physical infrastructure Americans rely on every\n   
 day. She is a proud Mom\, a mental health advocate\, a Rubik’s Cube\n   
 enthusiast\, and an aspiring electric guitarist.\n\n   Before serving in h
 er current role\, Jen was the head of Firm\n   Resilience at Morgan Stanle
 y\, responsible for ensuring preparedness\n   and response to business-dis
 rupting operational incidents and risks to\n   the Firm. She also helped b
 uild and served as the first Global Head of\n   Morgan Stanley’s Cyberse
 curity Fusion Center\, the Firm’s center of\n   gravity for cyber defens
 e operations.\n\n   Jen has a long tradition of public service\, to includ
 e two tours at\n   the White House\, most recently as Special Assistant to
  President Obama\n   and Senior Director for Counterterrorism and earlier 
 as Executive\n   Assistant to National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. 
 She also\n   served as the Deputy for Counterterrorism at the National Sec
 urity\n   Agency.\n\n   A two-time recipient of the Bronze Star\, Jen reti
 red from the U.S.\n   Army after more than twenty years of service in inte
 lligence and cyber\n   operations\, including tours of duty in Haiti\, the
  Balkans\, Iraq\, and\n   Afghanistan. Responsible for standing up the Arm
 y’s first cyber\n   battalion\, she was also instrumental in the design 
 and creation of\n   United States Cyber Command.\n\n   A distinguished gra
 duate of the United States Military Academy at West\n   Point\, Jen holds 
 a master’s degree in Philosophy\, Politics\, and\n   Economics from the 
 University of Oxford\, where she studied as a Rhodes\n   Scholar. She is t
 he recipient of numerous honors and awards\, including\n   the 2023 Sister
 hood Award from Girls Who Code\; the 2022 National\n   Defense University 
 Admiral Grace Hopper Award\; the 2021 Cybersecurity\n   Ventures Cybersecu
 rity Person of the Year Award\; the 2020 Bradley W.\n   Snyder Changing th
 e Narrative Award\, and the 2018 James W. Foley\n   Legacy Foundation Amer
