\, Hacker\n Lorenzo Cococcia was born and raised in Italy\, the son of
two worlds:\n computer science and physics. Specialized in malware analy
sis\, cyber\n security and threat intelligence\, Lorenzo began his caree
r as a threat\n intelligence analyst for large industrial companies\, wh
ere he\n developed a rigorous approach to the field. He is particularly\
n interested in the intersection of physics and mathematics with the\n
world of hacking and cyber security.\n Twitter: [2]@lopoc_\n\n Descri
ption:\n Since the dawn of time\, humans have been driven to discover ne
w ways\n of determining their location\, and the location of potential t
hreats.\n In the realm of cyber threat intelligence\, the ability to geo
locate\n servers\, for instance the one a C2 is running on\, is crucial.
\n\n As a research in its early stages\, this speech will delve into the
\n exciting world of offensive geolocation. By leveraging inviolable\n
physical laws\, we can measure the time it takes for a signal to travel\n
from an adversary to multiple network sensors\, and use this\n inform
ation to accurately calculate their position. This technique is\n known
as latency trilateration has never been used before in the cyber\n realm
\, and has significant implications for threat intelligence\,\n sandbox
evasion\, and even malware self-geolocation. I will also\n discuss poten
tial limitations and challenges of this approach\, as well\n as its broa
der implications and potential future developments in this\n emerging fi
 eld.\n\n REFERENCES\n Ben Du\, Massimo Candela\, Bradley Huffake
