 Agency (CISA)\n   Jack Cable is a Senior Technical Advisor at the Cybersec
 urity and\n   Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Prior to that\, Jack 
 worked as a\n   TechCongress Fellow for the Senate Homeland Security and G
 overnmental\n   Affairs Committee\, advising Chairman Gary Peters on cyber
 security\n   policy\, including election security and open source software
  security.\n   He previously worked as a Security Architect at Krebs Stamo
 s Group.\n   Jack also served as an Election Security Technical Advisor at
  CISA\,\n   where he created Crossfeed\, a pilot to scan election assets\n
    nationwide. Jack is a top bug bounty hacker\, having identified over\n 
   350 vulnerabilities in hundreds of companies. After placing first in\n  
  the Hack the Air Force bug bounty challenge\, he began working at the\n  
  Pentagon’s Defense Digital Service. Jack holds a bachelor’s degree\n 
   in Computer Science from Stanford University and has published\n   acade
 mic research on election security\, ransomware\, and cloud\n   security.\n
 \n   SpeakerBio:Jen Easterly \, Director at Cybersecurity and Infrastructu
 re\n   Security Agency (CISA)\n   Jen Easterly is the Director of the Cybe
 rsecurity and Infrastructure\n   Security Agency (CISA). She was nominated
  by President Biden in April\n   2021 and unanimously confirmed by the Sen
 ate on July 12\, 2021. As\n   Director\, Jen leads CISA’s efforts to und
 erstand\, manage\, and reduce\n   risk to the cyber and physical infrastru
 cture Americans rely on every\n   day. She is a proud Mom\, a mental healt
 h advocate\, a Rubik’s Cube\n   enthusiast\, and an aspiring electric gu
 itarist.\n\n   Before serving in her current role\, Jen was the head of Fi
 rm\n   Resilience at Morgan Stanley\, responsible for ensuring preparednes
 s\n   and response to business-disrupting operational incidents and risks 
 to\n   the Firm. She also helped build and served as the first Global Head
  of\n   Morgan Stanley’s Cybersecurity Fusion Center\, the Firm’s cent
 er of\n   gravity for cyber defense operations.\n\n   Jen has a long tradi
 tion of public service\, to include two tours at\n   the White House\, mos
 t recently as Special Assistant to President Obama\n   and Senior Director
  for Counterterrorism and earlier as Executive\n   Assistant to National S
 ecurity Advisor Condoleezza Rice. She also\n   served as the Deputy for Co
 unterterrorism at the National Security\n   Agency.\n\n   A two-time recip
 ient of the Bronze Star\, Jen retired from the U.S.\n   Army after more th
 an twenty years of service in intelligence and cyber\n   operations\, incl
 uding tours of duty in Haiti\, the Balkans\, Iraq\, and\n   Afghanistan. R
 esponsible for standing up the Army’s first cyber\n   battalion\, she wa

 Agency (CISA)\n   Lauren Zabierek is a Senior Policy Advisor in the Cybers
 ecurity\n   Division at CISA. Previously\, she served as the Executive Dir
 ector of\n   the Cyber Project at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Ce
 nter\,\n   where she ran a policy-relevant research program and managed st
 udents\n   and nonresident fellows. She also served as the Acting Executiv
 e\n   Director of the Belfer Center in her final semester there. She came 
 to\n   that role as a 2019 graduate of the Kenney School’s midcareer MPA
 \n   program. Prior to graduate school\, she was an early member of the\n 
   cybersecurity firm Recorded Future\, having established and managed\n   
 their public sector team. She also served as a civilian intelligence\n   a
 nalyst at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency with multiple\n   de
 ployments to Afghanistan\, and served as a US Air Force intelligence\n   o
 fficer at the beginning of her career. Lauren is also the co-founder\n   o
 f the online social media movement\, #ShareTheMicInCyber. She is a\n   men
 tor with Girl Security\, a fellow at the National Security Institute\n   a

 Oumou Ly \, Senior Advisor for Technology and Ecosystem\n   Security at Th
 e White House\n   Oumou Ly is the Senior Advisor for Technology and Ecosys
 tem Security\n   at the White House. In her role\, Oumou provides counsel 
 to senior\n   White House officials on matters which include domestic and\
 n   international technology and supply chain security\, emerging\n   tech
 nology\, data security\, and cyber workforce and education. She came\n   t
 o the White House from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security\n   A
 gency (CISA) within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.\n   Similarl
 y\, in this role\, Oumou advised senior agency and\n   Administration lead
 ers in the execution of top Administration\n   priorities to secure critic
 al infrastructure and led policy and\n   strategy for the CISA Cybersecuri
 ty Division. On the Joint Ransomware\n   Task Force\, she led the effort t
 o develop metrics to improve policy\n   interventions against ransomware a
 nd other categories of cybercrime.\n   Prior to serving at CISA\, Oumou wa
 s a fellow at Harvard University’s\n   Berkman Klein Center\, where she 
 represented the Center in media\n   commentary at the nexus of national se
 curity\, cybersecurity\, and\n   technology including in The Hill\, NBC Ne
 ws\, and the Financial Times.\n   Furthermore\, while a fellow at the Harv
 ard University\, Oumou\n   co-authored the concept paper for the distribut
 ed Bluesky protocol\;\n   curated Chatham House convenings of security pra
 ctitioners\, academics\,\n   and top government officials\; authored and h
 osted tabletop exercises\n   to prepare state and local officials for disr
 uption anticipated during\n   the 2020 election\, and contributed signific
 ant thought leadership on\n   root causes and policy interventions around 
 disinformation. Prior to\n   joining the Berkman Klein Center\, Oumou was 
 an advisor to U.S. Senate\n   Democratic Leader Charles Schumer\, where sh
 e provided counsel on a\n   cross-cutting portfolio which included nationa
 l security policy\,\n   foreign policy\, the defense industrial base\, and
  veterans’ affairs.\n   In this role\, she routinely led inter and intra
 party negotiations on\n   key provisions which were enacted into law\, inc
 luding in the National\n   Defense Authorization Act and the Bipartisan Bu
 dget Act of 2018. Oumou\n   holds cybersecurity fellowships at Harvard Uni
 versity and the Atlantic\n   Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab and
  holds the position of\n   Trustee at Notre Dame de Namur University. Oumo
 u holds a B.A. from\n   Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont\, CA and

 ity.\n\n   SpeakerBio:Yael Grauer \, Consumer Reports\n   Yael Grauer work
 s at Consumer Reports managing Security Planner\, a\n   free\, easy-to-use
  guide to staying safer online. Her background is in\n   investigative tec
 h reporting\, and she has covered privacy and security\n   for over a deca
 de for various tech publications. She has extensively\n   researched the p
 rivacy and security (or lack thereof) of consumer\n   VPNs\, teamed up wit
 h Electronic Frontier Foundation to research\n   street-level surveillance
 \, broken stories on Zoom misleading users\n   about end-to-encryption\, l
 ooked into questionable claims about\n   blockchain voting\, and investiga
 ted surveillance against China’s\n   Uyghur minority. Yael serves on the
  Board of Directors of the CyberMed\n   Summit\, the world’s only clinic
 ally-oriented healthcare\n   cybersecurity conference. She also runs a do-
 it-yourself data broker\n   opt-out list\, and is currently writing a book
  on investigations for No\n   Starch Press.\n\n   Description:\n   In this
  unique session\, come learn about and help shape the US\n   Government’
 s Secure by Design work. The event will begin with\n   opening remarks by 
 CISA Director Jen Easterly\, and feature a panel\n   with representatives 
 from CISA and the White House Office of the\n   National Cyber Director (O
 NCD). Following that\, attendees will be\n   given a draft of CISA’s lat
 est guidance on Secure by Design\, and\n   will be able to offer edits\, c
 omments\, and suggestions to inform the\n   final version of the guidance.
