   testing\, firmware reviews\, and mobile application security assessments
 \n   on industry devices.\n\n   Description:\n   Developing firmware is an
  essential skill that cyber security\n   professionals should be familiar 
 with to gain a deeper understanding\n   of the foundation of most systems 
 that are being relied on.\n   Additionally\, a fundamental understanding o
 f firmware development is a\n   valuable asset in the realm of firmware re
 verse engineering. This\n   hands-on workshop aims to tackle both directio
 ns of firmware\n   (development/reversing) to give the audience a better u
 nderstanding of\n   the intricacies with each process. The firmware develo
 pment portion of\n   the workshop will walk the audience through a guided 
 activity that\n   performs the basic steps to deploy a firmware applicatio
 n on an\n   embedded microcontroller (STM32). The application will be deve
 loped in\n   such a way that it is intended to be reversed. The second hal
 f of the\n   workshop deals with the firmware binary and the steps necessa
 ry to\n   fully recover the firmware as much as possible. An important not
 e is\n   that these tools and firmware will be open-source and therefore t
 he\n   audience can attempt this work on their own. Takeaways from this ta
 lk\n   include an understanding of bare metal development environments\,\n
    embedded C code\, memory mapping and peripherals\, as well as an\n   in
