uzan\n Ofri Ouzan is an experienced Security Researcher who has been wor
king\n in the cybersecurity field for over four years. She specializes i
 n\n conducting security research on Windows\, Linux\, Cloud Platforms\,
and\n containerized applications with an emphasis on vulnerabilities. He
r\n expertise lies in finding and solving complex problems in the cyber\
 n field\, developing automation and open-source tools.\n\n SpeakerBio:
Yotam Perkal\n Yotam leads the vulnerability research team at Rezilion\,
  focusing on\n research around vulnerability validation\, mitigation\, a
nd remediation.\n Prior to Rezilion\, Yotam filled several roles at PayP
al Security\n organization\, dealing with vulnerability management\, thr
eat\n intelligence\, and Insider threat. Additionally\, Yotam takes part
in\n several OpenSSF working groups around open-source security as well
as\n several CISA work streams around SBOM and VEX and is also a member
of\n the PyCon Israel organization committee. He is passionate about Cy
ber\n Security and Machine Learning and is especially intrigued by the\n
intersection between the domains\, whether it be using ML in order to\n
help solve Cyber Security challenges or exploring the challenges in\n
securing ML applications.\n\n Description:\n Addressing security vuln
erabilities begins with verifying the impact\n on an environment. Merely
having a vulnerable package installed does\n not guarantee exploitabili
ty\, as several conditions must align for the\n vulnerability to be appl
icable and exploitable. For example: is the\n operating system in questi
on susceptible to the vulnerability? is the\n vulnerable component loade
d to memory? is the required configuration\n in place? is there a patch
installed? And more... Standard\n vulnerability scanners simply do not t
ake these factors into account\n and thus require manual triage in order
to answer “Can a\n vulnerability be exploited in a given environment?
”. ‘Am I\n Exploitable?’ (MI-X)\, is an open-source tool aimed at
effectively\n determining whether a local host or running container is t
ruly\n affected by a specific vulnerability by accounting for all factor
s\n which affect actual exploitability. MI-X also prints out the logical
\n steps it takes in order to reach a decision and can also provide a\n
graphical representation of the validation flow. The tool can\n theref
ore help practitioners understand what are the factors that\n affect exp
loitability for each of the supported vulnerabilities.\n '\n\n 1. #Cae
