n solutions to secure freedom of access and the secure flow of\n infor

colleagues did not look like her\, she founded BaraLaj\n coaching\, to e
mpower women with the tools and skills to be fully in\n control of their

nate lifelong educator with over 10 years\n experience as an instruction
al designer and eLearning consultant. She\n is also a Navy veteran with
degrees in psychology and neuroscience.\n\n Description:\n Virtual rea
lity and augmented reality are technologies that are the\n next frontier
in healthcare and providing patient care. These\n technologies were ori
ginally developed for recreational use\,\n specifically for gaming and r
ecreation\, but have quickly shown utility\n in advancing the efficiency
and accuracy of providing patient care.\n This now leads to a host of c
hallenges related to data privacy and\n security\, as privacy-by-design
was not a designing principle for these\n technologies. These tenants ho
wever\, are necessary as patient data\n include Protected Health Informa
tion and Personal Identifying\n Information (PHI/PII) that would be fina
ncially lucrative and useful\n to a hacker. So now that these data priva
cy and security principles\n were not “baked in” to technology origi
nally\, how does one go\n about ensuring maximum security after the fact
? What can be done\n moving forward to ensure maximum flexibility for th
e use of technology\n with the appropriate data and privacy security mea
 sures “baked\n in”?\n\n C.A.R.B. is a joint collaboration between
the Black women founders of\n Creative Riot (Rian)\, Aurora (Jillian)\,
 Ray-Lynn Group (LaTica)\, and\n Baralaj (Lola).\n\n '\n\n 1. #Flamin
