ssor of Practice\n Chet serves as a Professor of Practice at the Univers
ity of Arizona in\n the Cyber Operations program where he is teaching an
d researching the\n application of Python and Machine Learning to advanc
e cybersecurity\n challenges. Chet is also the Founder of Python Forensi
cs\, Inc. which\n is focused on the collaborative development of open-so
urce\n investigative technologies using Python and other popular scripti
ng\n languages. Chet has been researching and developing technology and\
 n training surrounding forensics\, digital investigation\, and\n stega
nography for decades. He has made numerous appearances to discuss\n emer
ging cyber threats including National Public Radio's Kojo Nnamdi\n show\
, ABC's Primetime Thursday\, and ABC News Australia. He has also\n been
a frequent contributor to technical and news stories relating to\n cyber
 security and forensics with Forbes\, IEEE\, The New York Times\, The\n W
 ashington Post\, Government Computer News\, Salon.com and Wired\n Magazi
 ne.\n\n SpeakerBio:Mike Raggo\n Michael T. Raggo has over 20 years of
security research experience.\n During this time\, he has uncovered and
ethically disclosed\n vulnerabilities in products including Samsung\, Ch
eckpoint\, and\n Netgear. His research has been highlighted on televisio
n’s CNN Tech\,\n and numerous media publications including TIME\, Forb

n author to Information Security the Complete Reference 2nd Edition. His
\n Data Hiding book is also included at the NSA’s National Cryptologic

n HackCon Norway\, and SANS. He was also awarded the Pentagon’s\n Ce
rtificate of Appreciation.\n\n Description:\n Using an Active Cyber De
fense framework and combining that with our\n homegrown ML\, we’ve cre
ated our own approach to detecting aberrant\n network behavior through p
assive network monitoring to discover covert\n communications with a Ras
pberry Pi. We will then demo our open source\n solution\, a free Modbus
TCP pcap analysis tool\, to uncover the risky\n and potentially very dam
aging covert channels communicating with the\n outside world and the typ
es of data that is being harvested along with\n the new attack surfaces
 that they offer.\n '\n\n 1. https://defcon.outel.org/consolidated_page
