 yption is a concept we've been hearing about a lot\n   these last few year
 s\, and has gained a lot of prominence in the public\n   eye due to variou
 s platforms (WhatsApp\, Signal\, Telegram) implementing\n   a variation of
  it.\n\n   In this talk I want to cover E2E encryption in detail\, it's us
 ages\, as\n   well as why everyone keeps saying to "never roll your own cr
 ypto".\n\n   General Outline:\n   The presentation will try in a first par
 t to demystify various aspects\n   of E2E-encryption\, describing various 
 algorithms that are used to that\n   extent\, and where they are primarily
  used.\n\n   The second part will focus on the various usages of E2E encry
 ption and\n   why countries and organizations are fighting against it. It 
 will also\n   go into detail about what that means for the average person\
 , versus\n   what that means for various categories of individuals\, such 
 as for\n   example journalists or criminals.\n\n   The third and most exte
 nsive part will involve diving into a custom -\n   but not by any means se
 cure - implementation of E2E encryption that\n   was "made for fun" (to le
 arn more about cryptography) and seeing what\n   concepts are implemented.
  This is to take a look at how theory - as\n   seen in books - often dista
 nces itself from practice\, and what\n   pitfalls one can easily find them
 selves falling into when trying to\n   implement such algorithms.\n\n   '\
