Description:\n Cracking Passwords to Make Them Strong\n\n Existing pas
sword meters say that passwords like ""Fall2021!"" or\n ""Password123!""
are strong\, just because they have upper case\, lower\n case\, and num
bers. ""Password123!"" is NOT a strong password\; it will\n get cracked
in seconds. I gave 47\,000 “strong” password hashes to\n some of the
best password crackers. Although the meters said these\n passwords were
strong\, over 99% of them actually got cracked.\n\n By reversing the to
ols the password crackers actually use\, we can tell\n whether a passwor
d will actually be cracked\, by real password\n crackers\, including tho
se who win the Defcon Crack Me If You Can.\n\n I will demonstrate a new
open source Python tool which tells you with\n over 90% accuracy whether
a real password cracker would be able to\n crack the password you're th
inking about using. This tool tests the\n types of attacks that crackers
conduct using tools like Hashcat or\n John the Ripper.\n\n '\n\n 1.
