DESCRIPTION: 'Title: Injectyll-HIDe: Pushing the Future of Hardware Impla
 nts to the\n Next Level\n When: Saturday\, Aug 13\, 10:00 - 11:55 PDT\
n Where: Caesars Forum - Council Boardroom (Demo Labs) - [1]Map\n Spea
 kers:Jonathan Fischer\,Jeremy Miller\n\n SpeakerBio:Jonathan Fischer\n
Jonathan Fischer is a hardware and IoT security enthusiast that\n start
ed off designing\, programming\, and implementing electronic\n controls
for industrial control systems and off-highway machinery.\n After a deca
de in that industry\, Jonathan obtained his BS in Computer\n Science and
transitioned over to the cyber security industry where he\n has been wo
rking as a Red Team consultant and researcher for more than\n five years
at a Fortune 500. Since joining the cyber security\n industry\, Jonatha
n has since earned various industry certifications\n (OSCP\, GPEN\, etc.
) and continues to leverage his unique experience in\n his research into
  hardware hacking.\n\n SpeakerBio:Jeremy Miller\n Jeremy Miller is a 1
2+ year security professional that has worked in\n various industries in
cluding life-sciences\, finance\, and retail.\n Jeremy has worked both s
ides of the security spectrum ranging from\n Security Research\, Red Tea
ming and Penetration Testing to Threat\n Intelligence and SOC Analyst. J
eremy currently works as a Security\n Technical Lead for an emerging R&D
Life Science Platform where he\n works on product and infrastructure se
curity.\n\n Description:\n Enterprises today are shifting away from de
dicated workstations\, and\n moving to flexible workspaces with shared h
ardware peripherals. This\n creates the ideal landscape for hardware imp
lant attacks\; however\,\n implants have not kept up with this shift. Wh
ile closed source\,\n for-profit solutions exist and have seen some rece
nt advances in\n innovation\, they lack the customization to adapt to la
rge targeted\n deployments. Open-source projects exist but focus more on
individual\n workstations (dumb keyboards/terminals) relying on corpora
te networks\n for remote control. Our solution is an open source\, hardw
are implant\n which adopts IoT technologies\, using non-standard channel
s to create a\n remotely managed mesh network of hardware implants. Atte
ndees will\n learn how to create a new breed of open-source hardware imp
lants.\n Topics covered in this talk include the scaling of implants for
 \n enterprise takeover\, creating and utilizing a custom C2 server\, a\n
reverse shell that survives screen lock\, and more. They will also\n
leave with a new platform from which to innovate custom implants. Live\n
demos will be used to show these new tactics against real world\n infra
structure. This talk builds off of previous implant talks but\n will sho
w how to leverage new techniques and technologies to push the\n innovati
on of hardware implants forward evolutionarily.\n\n Audience: Offense an
 d Red Teams with a focus on a hardware approach\n\n '\n\n 1. https://d
