 unicode.github.io/umlsc-2021/).\n\n   Description:\n   Online disinformati
 on is a dynamic and pervasive problem on social\n   networks as evidenced 
 recently by the COVID-19 "infodemic". It is\n   unclear how effective coun
 termeasures are in practice due to limited\n   access to platform data. In
  such cases\, simulations are a popular\n   technique to study the long-te
 rm effects of disinformation and\n   influence operations. We develop a hi
 gh-fidelity simulation of\n   disinformation spread via influence operatio
 ns on a popular social\n   network\, Reddit\, and their effects on content
  distribution via ranking\n   and recommendation algorithms. It is a novel
  application of\n   agent-based modeling combined with empirical data from
  users at scale\n   and offers insight into the impact of so-called coordi
 nated\n   inauthentic behavior. This is joint work in collaboration with O
 xford\n   and NYU that has been invited for an Oral presentation (top 3/26
 \n   papers) at the AI4ABM workshop at the International Conference on\n
