DESCRIPTION: 'Title: Open Source Zero Trust Security using Ory Keto\n W
 hen: Friday\, Aug 12\, 16:00 - 16:30 PDT\n Where: Caesars Forum - Allian
 ce 313-314\, 320 (Voting Village) - [1]Map\n\n SpeakerBio:Patrik Neu\n
Patrik studied computer science at TU Munich\, focusing on IT Security\,\
n formal languages\, and distributed systems. During his studies\, he\n
started to work on open source cloud security software. In 2020 he\n r
ewrote Ory Keto to be the first open source implementation of Google\n Z
 anzibar\, Google's internal authorization server. Since then\, he\n main
tains and develops Keto as a cutting-edge technology to provide\n fast a
nd flexible authentication at scale. Fluent in go\, Typescript\,\n Engli
sh\, German\, and Czech he not only likes to code in his dark\n corner\,
but also loves the openness and teaching nature of open source\n softwa
re development.\n\n Description:\n Local laws around voting vary widel
 y. Building secure authorization\n that implements all of them is challe
nging. Future voting systems\n built on tested open source components wi
ll reduce the attack surface\n and improve trust in the system. In this
session\, we will first\n examine various authorization challenges that
arise in voting\n contexts. As a possible solution\, we will discuss the
usage of a\n highly flexible open source authorization system based on
Ory’s open\n source efforts to implement Google Zanzibar\, and how an
 implementation\n within a voting system would work.\n '\n\n 1. https
