 nd the genericization\n   of its name\, the popularity of Zoom is undeniab
 le. But what about its\n   security? This imperative question is often qui
 te personal\, as who\n   amongst us isn't jumping on weekly (daily?) Zoom 
 calls?\n\n   In this talk\, we’ll explore Zoom’s macOS application to 
 uncover\n   several critical security flaws. Flaws\, that provided a local
 \n   unprivileged attacker a direct and reliable path to root.\n\n   The f
 irst flaw\, presents itself subtly in a core cryptographic\n   validation 
 routine\, while the second is due to a nuanced trust issue\n   between Zoo
 m’s client and its privileged helper component.\n\n   After detailing bo
 th root cause analysis and full exploitation of\n   these flaws\, we’ll 
 end the talk by showing how such issues could be\n   avoided …both by Zo
