  and also served as President of\n   WCC’s WiCys club. Currently\, she i
 s pursuing additional education\n   and certifications for Industrial Cont
 rols Security and Automation\n   while working on near completion of a fiv
 e-year Inside Wireman\n   Electrician program with International Brotherho
 od of Electrical\n   Workers (IBEW). Josephine is pursuing career opportun
 ities in\n   industrial cybersecurity.\n\n   SpeakerBio:Christine Reid\n  
  Christine Reid is the Political Director for International Brotherhood\n 
   of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 77 and a proud member of the since 2006.\n 
   For 16 years she worked within a local private utility that provides\n  
  both natural gas and electric to their customers. As the Political\n   Di
 rector she is working toward state recognized registered\n   apprenticeshi
 ps into cybersecurity\, in support of and protection of\n   our critical i
 nfrastructure\, utilities\, members and customers.‍\n\n   SpeakerBio:Eri
 n Cornelius\n   Erin Cornelius is a senior security researcher with GRIMM'
 s Cyber\n   Physical Security team. She helped develop and teach GRIMM’s
 \n   Automotive Security training and has given talks on the topic of\n   
 automotive and aerospace security. Before joining GRIMM and officially\n  
  becoming a cybersecurity researcher Erin spent over 15 years\n   developi
 ng\, integrating\, and testing safety critical systems for a\n   variety o
 f fields including telecom\, aerospace\, and medical. My\n   twitter handl
 e is @e_er1in\n\n   SpeakerBio:Kairie Pierce\n   Kairie Pierce is the Lead
  Workforce Development Director for the\n   Washington State Labor Council
  (WSLC)\, AFL-CIO. Kairie has worked with\n   all of the community and tec
 hnical colleges in the Washington State\n   area recruiting labor members 
 to serve on the CTC advisory committees.\n   She is currently a board memb
 er of Washington State Workforce and\n   Training Board. Her current posit
 ion blends all of her working\n   passions of registered apprenticeship an
 d workforce education.\n\n   Description:\n   The industrial cybersecurity
  workforce continues to have a significant\n   shortage of professionals w
 ithin the OT and IT work centers.\n   Traditionally\, training pipelines w
 ithin the utilities sectors tend to\n   focus on bringing outside trained 
 cybersecurity professionals into\n   very specific and specialized work cl
 assifications. For example gas\n   and electric employees have years of ex
 perience and thousands of hours\n   both on the job and in the field havin
 g worked directly with\, and\n   seeing first-hand system mechanics and vu
 lnerabilities. A utility\n   apprenticeship provides an established and te
 sted platform on which to\n   build experience towards a cybersecurity rol
 e\, benefitting the\n   existing employee\, employer and customer protecti
 ons. A strong\n   argument can be made for utilizing FTE’s who have the 
 unique\n   industry knowledge and perspective as subject matter experts. D
 oing so\n   would provide these employees the additional tools to take the
 ir\n   highly skilled existing apprenticeship (relay tech) and enhance the
 ir\n   effectiveness by adding the much needed additional skills of a\n   
 registered cyber security pathway. This panel will discuss how the\n   app
 renticeship process is very unique\, share lessons learned\, and how\n   t
