Abstract\n --------\n We will present background on transform crypto
graphy\, also known as\n proxy re-encryption\, We start with an overview
of elliptic curves over\n finite fields and pairings using bilinear map
s and discuss how they\n can be used to implement cryptographic primitiv
es. We next describe\n the idea of transform cryptography and enumerate
desirable properties\n of transform cryptography schemes\, then examine
in more detail a\n specific multi-hop transform encryption scheme.\n\n
We will then describe how we implemented a library to provide the\n pri
mitives required for that multi-hop transform encryption scheme.\n Final
ly\, we discuss the security implications of recent advances in\n evalua
ting discrete logarithms using the special number field sieve\,\n and wh
y that led us to increase the key length of the scheme from 256\n bits t
o 480 bits.\n\n Bio\n -----------------\n Bob: Co-founder & CTO of I
ronCore Labs\, a startup focused on building\n products to help app deve
lopers build strong security into their\n offerings.\n\n Colt: Senior
